We moved in to a new house and one of the knobs was already broken. Two more are showing signs of cracking within a month. Too bad, otherwise seems ok.

I am not sure I have ever felt so frustrated with a customer experience™¦. I was going to order the part when I saw the price and about died, but then came across the model and saw that this is a KNOWN issue with Frigidaire. After seeing their customer service appearing to be responsive to the reviews and giving a number to call, I thought I will give it a try to see if they can help me. After waiting on hold for approximately 50 minutes and being on the phone with the rep for another 40 minutes, the best she could do was 40% off. So, $100 for terrible cheap knobs that are KNOWN to break with over 400 reviews on their website stating it™¦ a brand new cook top is around $500 with 4+ star reviews from other brands. I can tell you this makes me NEVER want to purchase another Frigidaire product and to spread the news. I didn™™t purchase the knobs - I™™d rather spend the money on another brand that wants to rectify a KNOWN situation. Not only is this a functional and aesthetic issue, this is a safety issue. My 71 year old mother couldn™™t get the stove to light when it broke mid-function so gas was spewing into my home until she got scissors to pinch the metal and get it turned off™¦. Disappointed and frustrated does not even begin to describe how I am feeling right now™¦

Purchased and after a few months the knobs broke.. One knob broke, then the second and now all knobs are broken. The product description says "stainless steal knobs" but these are 100% plastic except for a small metal clip so completely false advertisement.

Even gentle use is too much for these knobs, apparently... In only six months we have gone through a full set of broken knobs! Like other reviewers said, the knob stems are made of flimsy plastic that break easily. Its a real bummer!

Knobs continuously break. They sell replacements for $50 PER KNOB. Even though they know of the issue (see countless reviews of the same issue) once cooktop over 1 year old (even with them replacing knobs within the year window) they won't replace any longer. TOTAL PIECE OF CRAP. What good is a cooktop without knobs to turn it on / off. I will not ever purchase another frigidaire product again.

All knobs have broken and they are expensive to replace. They are made of cheap plastic and Crack. Totally useless. Looks nice at first not so nice when it's missing knobs while waiting for replacements to arrive.

This cooktop is wonderful. It looks elegant, always lights quickly and is easy to adjust and clean. The burner placement is great, with enough space between the burners to allow for large pots. Several people have complained that the knobs break - I can't imagine why, unless they are forcing the knobs in the wrong direction

I™™ve owned the cooktop for less than 2 years and I getting ready to purchase my THIRD set of knobs. At the price of each, I™™m almost better off getting a new different brand cooktop. The kicker is that I hardly use the darn thing. It™™s disappointing.

I would easily rate higher if it wasn™™t for the issue with the knobs. Ideally, they shouldn™™t fail prematurely. It seems that it is a known issue. I went place a order for 5 replacements until I found the cost of each. That cost disappointed me more than the early failure. You would think there would be a replacement program in place or more reasonable price for replacement.

One knob broke within the first month of use and a second one broke the following month. Only a matter of time before they all break and I know the high priced replacements will also break. Probably better off replacing the cooktop with a more quality brand at this point.

This cooktop looks beautiful in the new kitchen but of the 5 knobs 4 are broken already. I cannot believe this company charges so much for a cooktop and uses cheap plastic for its knobs. And the replacement knobs are ridiculous in price. Really hard to recommend such a product. If this were on a children™™s toy there would be a massive recall and product replacement. I had to grab a pair of needle nose pliers to turn off the burners because the knobs simply wouldn™™t work and I didn™™t want to risk breaking the last knob.

Gas top is a great piece to our open kitchen. We purchased the mats for the burners to make cleaning easier and has helped a lot. This came as part of the new home package so assumed it would be the lower end but this cooktop is well made and highly recommended.

Pass on this one. Easy to clean, but like everyone else says the knobs are made of crap plastic and you break them constantly. Eventually you will spend more on knob replacements than the actual unit. I have one left that isn't broken, and it is a fun little game to move it around to turn on/up/down/off when I need to cook.

We purchased two of these stovetops for our new kitchen, and have been overall satisfied. However, as expressed by other reviewers, the knobs on this model are extremely cheaply made and most broke within the first month or two. We are currently down to four knobs between the two stovetops, and wish they were made with higher quality, or could more easily be replaced

Gas stove top is good to use as a daily basis but the knobs are very cheaply made. We installed this gas range (FFGC3628SSE) from our builder when we build the house. The first set of knobs broke with in 3 months of use, contacted the Electrolux office, got the replacement which also broke after 6 months. The Knobs are very cheaply made, and the replacement cost $60 a piece. We are having second thoughts now.

We bought this cooker 2 years ago and right from the beginning after it was installed by the dealer installer the product had the middle burner problem, we have contacted the dealer and never received a response. Soon after we had broken nubs and cost us a lot to replace them. Looks like a cheap product.

The knobs are so low quality and have broken. The main burner won't even turn anymore and is stuck in an ON position and we are unable to use the stovetop any longer. I am so disappointed with Frigidaire and hope they will replace this unit for us.

Like many other reviewers, we have had a very poor experience with the dials on the range. They are extremely low quality and break easily. Frigidaire sent us a full set of replacement dials after the first set all broke, but the new set also broke after about a year of use. We are new homeowners, and this experience has left us disappointed with Frigidaire and unlikely ever to purchase another Frigidaire product.

I love this cook top. My only issue is that the knobs aren™™t durable. This is the first time ever having to replace the knobs on a stove (not covered under warranty or the extra extended warranty) and at over $60 each to replace it adds up.

1st month 2 knobs broke. 2nd month 3rd knob brokee. 5th month knob 4 broke. 6th month last one broke.Taped it up and have been using it until i can replace the stove top and the tape job failed today. Replacement knobs sold at warehouse i bought stove don't fit. If course not returnable one packaging was opened.Cannot win for trying. Hope you all get this fixed as it has been a great stove other than the knobs.

About 1 month after I got my 36™ Gas CookTop 2 Nubs broke so had to order new, bad quality material. Then right after manufacturers Guaranty expired to be able to return the unit, one control burner got stuck, can™™t open. I™™m using only 5 burners.

Like others experiencing broken knobs. Some knobs are have black stems and some silver. I have one knob with a black stem broken. See photo. I duct taped it to make it semi useable. Owned several gas cooktops and never had a broken knob. Interested to hear about Frigidaire resolution mentioned in other reviews

My new cooktop, FFGC3626SS, was installed 10/17/2020, on 9/27/2021 I had to pay $58.33 for one knob that broke in 11 months. Ridiculous price for a cheap piece of plastic. Now, 2/02/22, four months later two additional knobs are broken. As a senior citizen this is an expense that I cannot afford and as a cook for over 60 years I have never had any broken knobs on any stove/cooktop until this Frigidaire. If I had read these reviews before I purchased this Frigidaire cooktop I would not have purchased it. This seems to have always been a problem, yet Frigidaire does not cover in their warranty and doesn't seem to care to fix the problem. Then they charge an outrageous price to replace this defective product. I had thought that Frigidaire was a quality company now I don't think I would purchase any of their products again. I really like the performance of the cooktop itself. It's sad that they have a good product and put cheap knobs on a good product. I welcome any response from Frigidaire.

I just purchased this cooktop before I read the reviews. The cooktop itself is great however the knobs are cheaply made and can see how they break so easily especially if you cook everyday. With all the reviews of this issue there should have been a recall or replacement of the knobs. Hate to have to by a new cooktop in a year.

In just over a year 2 knobs broke on the stovetop. I've never broken a stovetop knob in 30 years of cooking. I was shocked to see that Frigidaire is charging $61 to replace the cheap plastic knobs that break in a year. Very disappointed in the quality.

Have the cooktop model FFGC3626SS. Love the cooktop, but the knobs are plastic & absolute junk. Several broke along the shaft within a few months of purchase. Tried for months to get ahold of customer service. Finally was able to, after the warranty ran out (Of course). Person told me what replacement costs ($60 ea). Good lord, at 5 knobs I could just replace the whole unit. Not sure I™™ll be buying any more Frigidaire products. Too bad, they™™ve always been my preferred brand.

Three of the five knobs broke within the first two months of use. I ordered new knobs through Frigidaire's website in November, they did not arrive until January. Due to the broken knobs I had to purchase a new cooktop. When I tried to return the knobs, which were very expensive, I did not have a positive experience.

I love this stove but as you can see from the other reviews here the knobs are horrible. I have had this stove less than a year and already have broken knobs. This should not be happening and it makes me disappointed it is. Frigidaire should have a remedy for this situation as it is obviously a HUGE issue with everyone and not just select customers. I don™™t feel like I should have to pay more than $50 for a new knob that™™s is obviously a design issue and all fault lies with Frigidaire and not the customer.

Very cheap quality knobs, I would love to purchase an upgrade or some type of retrofit kit if need be to upgrade these knobs before they are all broken. Within the period I have owned this model of Frigidaire gas range, I have changed knobs 3 times in complete sets of 5. I cannot afford to keep replacing these knobs as they are quite expensive. The inefficiency of this range has caused me lots of inconveniences.I™™m so disappointed with this purchase. I have the broken knobs on as dummy knobs for appearance purposes. I have to use the one surviving knob to control all 5 burners which I™™m sure will fail me soon. How did these knobs pass quality assurance Frigidaire? We purchased the cooktop along with all the rest of Frigidaire appliances to complete our new build. It took 9 months to get the appliances, finally installed all the appliances 8 months ago and 3 of the plastic knobs have broke the first one within just a month of using and Frigidaire will not replace them. At the cost is nearly $315.00 to buy replacements. No to mention that I spent a total of 4 hours getting in contact with someone at Frigidaire. DO BETTER FRIGIDAIRE

We have had this stove top for 3 years. The 3 out of 5 knobs broke within 6 months so we replaced them. They just broke again. When I saw the model in Home Depot the knobs were metal, but the ones on this stove top are plastic. I would not have a problem replacing it if the cost wasn't so high. When you spend this much for an appliance you should expect the accessories to be of high quality. If I had read these reviews before I purchased this stove top I would not have purchased it.
