I purchased pedestals for my lg ThinQ washer and dryer. None of the standard plastic bottles of liquid detergentsTide Cheernor softenersTideDwony fit inside the compartments. And its not like the machines werent designed to use these liquids. Whats a consumer suppose to do? What a rip-off

We purchased a new LG WM5500HWA washer DLGX5501W dryer with the WDP6W pedestal drawers. I find these drawers totally USELESS. Ok they are good for storage but they were meant to lift my machines to a comfortable loading/unloading height. I still have to bend over to the floor to unload a basket into the machines.
If I use my own basket it doesnt sit well in the opening of the drawer. Why doesnt the drawer slide further out and why isnt there a ledge/shelf to set a laundry basket on that is the height of the pedestal? I feel this was poorly designed.
Wheres the release leaver to allow the drawer to pull out? If I drop anything behind these drawers theres no easy way to get to it. You have to completely dismantle the drawer. And you instruct me to remove the appliance sitting on top before I dismantle it? Whos going to do that???
My prior pedestals that were Kenmore. They had a nice removable shelf that slid on top of the frame to allow access to the drawer and enabled me to set my basket flat on it keeping it approximately 13 off the floor. It sure saved my back. This design does not

I hate this drawer. I didnt need a laundry basket but it would be helpful to use that space for storage and have a divider. Also the shoe drying rack does not fit in the storage drawer.
I had a GE before and I loved it... good storage and the shoe drying rack fit in the drawer. .

On the positive side the pedestal drawer raises the washer which makes it easier to load the washer. It allows also storage of some items.
On the negative side the drawer is quite expansive in comparison to the washer. It could be higher to store laundry detergent.

Very happy with with the storage space with the WDP6W. Although they have ample storage space I still cant fit the Bleach nor the Unstoppable pebbles. They are large containers so Didnt think they would fit anyway.

Never showed up. Ordered it to be delivered on October 3 and their delivery partner RXO says the earliest available deliver date is 4 weeks after that on October 30. I reached out to LG customer service and heard absolutely nothing.

I hate these drawers. Liquid laundry detergent does not fit. Either does spray starch cans. Why wouldnt you make these drawers deeper so things fit??? I already called LG and complained to no avail.

I had no idea that something could be so useful and helpful. I am able to story most of the laundry products that I used to have on the counters AND it is so much easier to get the laundry in and out without having to stoop so low. The only thing that does not work well for me is that I am short and it is a bit hard for me to pour in the right amount of detergent from a large detergent container. However I realize that if it were shorter the storage space would not be so perfect. SO I am thrilled that I finally purchased this and wish I had done it earlier. Also great installers from LG

I really like the 2 LG pedestal storage drawers. They have plenty of room to store laundry and cleaning supplies. I particularly like the removable baskets. It makes it so easy to empty the dryer contents right into the basket.
As an added bonus they make the washer and dryer higher so I dont have to bend to do the laundry or to find that missing sock.

The pedestal makes it much easier to load and unload the washer and dryer. One draw back to the pedestal drawer is the it is too shallow to close if you put the large bottles of soap and bleach in the drawer. So the increased height of the washer and dryer is a plus the shallow drawer is not very useful.

This was the worst purchase experience of my life. One of the two pedestals I ordered came with no installation kit. After three hours on the phone with Home Depot and LG I still dont have it. First they sent the wrong thing and after more than a week no sign of the promised kit. I ended up giving up on LG customer service and going to the hardware store and buying similar parts in order to install the pedestal.

I never had the pedestal feature before and I didnt know what I was missing. I am not tall but the pedestal feature makes doing laundry so much more enjoyable. I hated having to get on my knees for a front loader before. And the extra storage is awesome to boot

I purchased an LG pedestal in 2016 with my LG washer. My washer died in 2024 so I needed a new pedestal with it. The new design that includes the laundry basket is a loser. No one needs a laundry basket. They took away the divider in the drawer which made it great because it kept my stuff well organized. If you dont use the laundry basket its a jumbled up mess. I wish companies would quit redesigning things that work just for the sake of change. Its infuriating.

Purchased inn Dec. 2023. After 4 months one is showing 2 protrusions on the front fascia. Each protrusion is increasing in height which has become more noticeable. After dealing with LG for a month finally making progress on them exchanging for a new pedestal. Patience and a number of phone calls will be needed if you deal with LG on a manufacturer issue when they claim it is void since it is cosmetic.

I bought this two weeks ago along with my LG washer. Since its designed for the LG washers it fits perfectly. Its a big pricey but very sturdy. I was worried how it may hold up when the washer was running but its fine. Doesnt move at all. It would be nice if it was a bit taller to allow for holding taller detergent containers.

I got this a few days ago. It helps raise the washer so I dont have stoop down much to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer. The height allows me to hold smaller detergent bottles and other accessories. It could be a little taller to allow for taller containers. Its a bit pricey but quite sturdy.

Absolutely worthless Just purchased a new washer/dryer with these pedestals and they were delivered yesterday. I considered them a must have for front loaders. More importantly for our situation we need the storage. However a standard size bottle of laundry detergent and standard spray bottles of fabric softener DO NOT FIT Very poor design LG. What were you thinking? Unfortunately unless there is another pedestal that is deeper we will have to return the washer and dryer set for a different brand.

The pedestal was fine but the installation of the washer was awful. I had to remove the locking nut on each adjustable foot so the washer
mounting brackets line up with the pedestals mounting bracket. T
he instructions only require to retrack the feet completely without removing the locking nut.

Bought this directly from LG. The rear sheet panel is secure but theres vibration rattle with the washcombo high spin speeds. Flaw without form or more screws to attach the rear cover.

Very useful. Raises the washer to a better height and provides a place for storing dirty clothing until I have enough for a load. The basket is sort of weird though. Not as useful as it could be. If it was half the size of the drawer and there were two of them that would be more useful. I keep kitchen towels in it so that I can wash them separately but there is no way Ill ever fill up that big basket with kitchen towels. And I sometimes put other dirty laundry in it so if I end up with too much of that I end up moving the kitchen towels out into the drawer and putting the rest of the laundry in the basket. Always switching it around. Or I end up storing the general dirty laundry in the washer and the kitchen towels in the way-oversized basket. It would actually be most useful if there were two baskets one half the drawer size and another half the drawer size but partitioned down the center. That way general dirty laundry could go into the larger one kitchen towels into one of the smaller compartments and delicate items in the other smaller compartment. Anyway I dont feel like the basket was designed by anyone who ever does their own laundry. Maybe I will one day look for some different basket sizes to replace this one with or keep this one and look for two smaller baskets that will fit into the remaining drawer space. Or I could find two small baskets and get rid of the basket that came with the drawer and just put the general dirty laundry directly into the drawer. Two smaller baskets that I didnt have to make a perfect fit would be a lot easier to find. If I ever find the time Ill come up with a workable solution. Ive only had the washer for a little over a month. Overall though Im very happy I decided to add this item to my washing machine purchase.
