Horrible design flaw that Samsung refuses to fix

ice maker worked great for first year. then 2 months after warranty expires the ice maker starts freezing up. the try has started freezing condensation on the bottom of it and above it on the fingers that turn the cubes into the ice box. i have to break the ice up with a screwdriver or meat tenderizer hammer to get the ice jam out about every other day. i paid over $2k for this unit in 2020 and its worthless if i have to continue to do ice maker maintenance on it several days a week.

i love the sleek look as well as the layout. the one drawback is the loudness of the ice maker! not fun to be lying in bed and hearing the ice drop!! since my layout is an open kitchen/ living room the loudness of ice maker can be annoying at times.

i bought it 4 years ago and i have had trouble with from the first year.
the freezer has gone out 4 times and they only replaced it once .. the rest of the repaires and cost was on me. the costomer service is a joke and they have no idea what they are doing. i will never buy from samsung again

i'm 100% satisfied with its elegant design. the drawer style makes it much easier to use, especially when you have limited space to open the fridge door. the water/ice dispenser works perfectly as well. with the black friday sale, this was a steal!

it is so difficult to clean this fridge!! i had meat leak onto the lower shelf. it requires taking everything out, at very questionably tight angles, and taking the shelf apart (plastic and glass are fragile!!! and pliers needed!!!) to clean. and then it all has to be put back together! mangled plastic and all. not cleaning friendly. can hardly wait to tackle the drawer fronts.
and the ice machine (very slow and dinky amounts of ice) shows signs of freezing up. is there a way to clean this out???? i don't see a way to separate it.
never had stainless before....gave up on cleaning finger prints.
what a great product that just isn't very easy to clean.

overall refridgerator is nice. however samsung did a horrible job with provcees to clean the bottom glass above the fruit and begetable drawers. if you have a spill in your fridge and have to take it out it is a total nightmare. the spavce is to tight to get it out and back in. process to take off the prongs that hold the glass down is hideous and almost impossible. spent more time than id like to clean up a spill.

this malfunctioning machine has cost me hundreds of dollars in lost food because it is broken. had support out, they tell me it's not throwing an error code, and there is nothing they can do. then support left and my water/ice was not working. it took them a week to come back and fix their mistake. the unit will read 36/0 degrees f and it is absolutely not that. unfrozen, wasted food thanks to samsung. i bought manual thermometers to check the temp. if i reset my circuit breaker, it will show the actual temp, go down to the 36/0 and might work for an hour or a few days. save your money. at this point, i'm considering a lawsuit for the thousands of dollars and time they have wasted us.

the ice maker essentially created a frozen block of ice and stopped working. you are then unable to remove the tray and need to defrost the fridge. i've only had this fridge for a few months and it has happened 4 times. i'm contemplating just calling costco and getting this thing picked up and replaced with something else that works.

i love my samsung 4 door with the auto-fill pitcher. the clincher for choosing this fridge was the auto-fill pitcher, but the pitcher design lacks a complete seal in the front so it drips constantly while pouring. the great samsung service replaced it immediately, but the second one still drips. it's the only reason i can't give it a 5 star review. how about 4.8 stars?

I received it about two weeks ago. Found the left door flapper does not always retract all the way in if I open left door when right door is open. Service is arranged hope it is a minor issue to be fixed. Otherwise it is a super good refrigerator as everything else is spotless. I still give it a five star.

I have had this for over a month now. Very quiet, the doors open and close easily, and there does seem to be a good amount of space in which to organize your groceries.
My last fridge had a separate pressure tab for ice vs water that was infinitely better. No pushing a button to switch between the settings. Secondly, it feels like it takes an eternity for the ice to come out and when the water does it lacks the speed and force the force my other one did. I do realize that I'm impatient but the wait time for ice and water makes me regret my purchase!
Lastly, I don't like having to go through a necessary downloaded Samsung app to change the temp settings. Ridiculous.

i purchased this using the samsung education discount program- which means i didn't pay retail. the fridge was delivered on 9/25 - the shipping box did not have any holes, tears etc. my installers unboxed the fringe on 10/01 and i noticed the back of the unit has a severe dent. they cautioned me not to install it until i speak with someone at samsung. i have been on the phone tirelessly trying to get support/answers as to why i was sent a dented unit. this is ridiculous. i purchased a 4 piece set and i'm full of regret.
the lack of communication around issues after delivery is a joke. i sincerely feel like i was sent a damaged fridge because i used a discount program. buyer beware.

my samsung fridge is now going on 6 years old. bought it new from a well-known furniture/appliance store locally. we're on our 3rd ice maker (yes, they freeze up and need to be replaced as the other reviews have indicated). just had the repairman out today to replace door gaskets and back inside panel. the gaskets fail letting in warm air which causes ice to form around the cooling elements and eventually the fan blades hit the ice causing an awful noise. this is a well known problem. google it! i will be replacing this fridge when this ice maker fails or whenever the next service is needed. going with whirlpool/amana/kitchenaid per the repairman's recommendation.

We got this fridge a couple of weeks ago, and we love it! The Flex Zone drawer is so convenient and it saves energy since I don't have to open the whole fridge just to get what I need. Delivery was a breeze. The inside can be configured in different ways depending on your needs (a shelf that slides back, one that lifts up, and movable bins). I can also control the temp from my smartphone and get notifications when the filter needs to be changed. I love this fridge!

Purchased this refrigerator a few months ago. The counter depth fits our space so much better than the full size without giving up a significant amount of storage space. My only complaint is the crushed ice feature. It doesn't work exceptionally well. Some ice is crushed, so pieces are full size. Other than that no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.

I love having the separate deli drawer and still having a second drawer in the freezer as well. I have just as much room in this refrigerator as I had in the regular size three door. I love the extra inches in my kitchen. I have no fingerprints on the doors or handles. I could not be happier with this product.

initially, we really liked this product. it looked great and we loved the flexzone drawer. then the problems began. the ice maker is a real problem! it continues to melt and then freeze up, blocking the ice from coming out.
now the "sensors" in the fridge have gone out and all of the food in our fridge is frozen rock solid ... milk, pickles, etc. it has taken us 2.5 weeks to have someone come look at it, and we now have to wait another 2.5 weeks for parts to come in and have it fixed. that's 5 weeks without a fridge!
yes, it's a beautiful product ... but it is not worth the problems that we continue to have with it.

we were so excited to purchase a multi thousand dollar new fridge. our last ge lasted 13 years, and continued to work when it was exchanged.
but it has been in our house 2 months and motor got loud, then freezer quit.
food spoiled.
the worst part is it will take over 8 days for a authorized repair to show up and fix.
repair center said they are having lots of calls for this fridge, best buy repair said same thing.
it is beautiful, and great when it is working, but clearly for something this expensive to break so quickly is sad and frustrating.

After looking for over a month at refrigerators and features we found that the Samsung had more features that we liked than other brands. We use the third drawer for beverage and meat storage since we can set it to a colder temperature. I also like the depth and items do not get pushed to the back and hidden.

We have used this for a year now and are generally pleased with three exceptions
1 - icemaker completely failed at 11 months old. Thankfully it was replaced without a lot of guff under warranty.
2 - water from the door is can not in any way be called cool much less cold. Service tech said it was at the design temp so there was nothing to adjust.
3 - There is only one function avail at a time for water OR ice. You have to fill you glass with either, press button to change from water to ice and vice versa. There is a one second delay in between and all stop working if someone steps up and opens the other door.

overall this one is ok after using for 6 months but it is noisy when ice maker is working especially at night the noise is too loud.
another problem when replacing the water filter, the manual said to press the ice maker button to reset but this doesn't work.
